The first part of a monograph on the German WWII Heinkel He 111 bomber. The history of the development of the various versions, their variants and field modifications is discussed, showing the changes made to them. Designed as a bomber, the He 111 also found use as a torpedo and reconnaissance aircraft and, after a unique modification, also as a tug of the huge Me 321 gliders. A detailed description of the construction, technical data and a description of how the aircraft was painted in combat units are included.
Text in Polish and English, 104 pages, 99 photographs, 22 sheets of model drawings in scales 1:48 and 1:72, including a list of external changes in the serial versions of the aircraft, 7 pages of colour charts with 12 examples of painting.
