The first part of a monograph on the G and K versions of the most famous German fighter aircraft of World War II, the Messerschmitt Bf 109. The differences in propulsion, armament, equipment and external appearance, as well as in paint and markings are presented. A 'guide' is included to help identify the different variants of the 'Gustav' and supplemented by a tabular listing of their typical external features. The book includes a detailed technical description of the machine and its propulsion, internal installations, equipment and armament, as well as an overview of the camouflage and markings used on the Bf 109G/K between 1942-45 in various theatres of operation. The author also shows the aircraft from the pilot's perspective, describing the procedures and operations performed during preparation for flight, take-off and climb, flight, air combat, landing (including emergency landing) and emergency descent of the machine. The whole is topped off by a table of serial numbers of Bf 109G/K aircraft, broken down by variety and manufacture, and a table with technical data of the various variants.
Text in Polish and English, 108 pages, 102 photographs, 22 sheets of model drawings in scales 1:32, 1:48 and 1:72, including a list of external changes in the serial versions of the aircraft, 7 pages of colour charts with 7 examples of painting.
