GPM 0905 Ustka - LATARNIA MORSKA

Ustka lighthouse is a contemporary Polish lighthouse, located in the city of Ustka in Słupsk County (Pomeranian Voivodeship). The lighthouse is located at the mouth of the Słupia River into the Baltic Sea. The building was erected in the early 1890s and was put into use in 1892. Fortunately, it survived both world wars without major damage, and was reactivated in November 1945. The building was built of brick, and the octagonal lighthouse tower is adjoined by built-up buildings, used as a pilot station. The structure was erected in this shape and has survived to this day without any major changes. The height of the tower is 19.5 meters, and the range of its light is 18 nautical miles (NM), or approximately 34.7 kilometers. The facility was entered in the register of immovable monuments of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, and at present it is administered by the Maritime Office in Słupsk.
