The Cid-21 wagon is a German passenger coach with a two-axle structure from the interwar period and World War II, as well as after the war. The wagons were built in the 1920s. The weight of the Cid-21 wagon produced in 1921 was 17.1 tons, and the number of seats for passengers was 66. It is worth adding that the wagons produced later were slightly lighter and were able to take a smaller number of passengers. The Cid-21 wagon was constructed as part of the efforts in Germany in the 1920s to standardize the rolling stock, which in turn would facilitate serial production, reduce its costs, and would also greatly facilitate its operation or repair. The construction of wagons with the simplest possible construction was also aimed at. Initially, car bodies of this type were built of wood, but over time they were moved to all-metal structures. It is worth adding that a certain number of Cid-21 wagons came to Poland after 1945 as part of war compensation.
